Passimiento is very much built in a modern Sicilian style – generous, fruit-led and made to be immediately enjoyable. It combines Nero d’Avola, Sicily’s signature red grape, with Frappato, which brings a bit more brightness and lift. Part of the Nero d’Avola is harvested later and given a drying period, which helps build extra richness and softness into the finished wine.
