Its cellars were established in Amarante in 1917 by António do Lago Cerqueira, an innovative winemaker who introduced new vineyard techniques after studying in France. Today, the estate works with more than 50 hectares of sustainably certified vineyards, including plots planted across the granite and schist soils surrounding Amarante.
