The village was granted the right to append its name to the Bourgogne appellation in 1993, creating Bourgogne Chitry, and Domaine Giraudon has become one of its most established family growers. Marcel Giraudon now works alongside his children Aurélie and Thibaut across around 30 hectares, including eight hectares devoted to white Bourgogne Chitry.
