Deep ruby red with touches of garnet, offering fragrant violets, ripe red and dark cherry fruit, a subtle savoury note and gentle clove spice. The palate is harmonious and fruit-driven, with soft tannins, well-judged freshness and an easy, gently spiced finish.

The Story
Lunadoro’s vineyards are found near Valiano, in the rolling countryside surrounding Montepulciano. The estate has 12 hectares under vine, planted at around 332 metres above sea level on clay-rich soils shaped by breezes from the Val di Chiana and nearby Lake Trasimeno. Sangiovese, known locally as Prugnolo Gentile, leads this approachable expression of the region, joined by smaller amounts of traditional supporting varieties. The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully selected before fermentation, with the wine spending around 12 months in French oak to add gentle spice and texture without losing its bright, generous fruit.
