Tasting Note
Bright ruby in the glass. The nose brings red cherry, wild berries, minty herbs, wet stone and a subtle black-fruit edge. On the palate it is round, fresh and gently chewy, with crisp minerality, lively Sangiovese acidity and a clean, energetic finish. It feels like a very polished Rosso di Montalcino – approachable, but still unmistakably rooted in Montalcino.

The Story
Argiano is one of the historic names of Montalcino, with roots that stretch back through the old estate of Argiano and its Renaissance villa. Today, the estate combines that heritage with a very modern focus on soil, vineyard mapping and sustainability. The Rosso di Montalcino captures the more immediate side of the estate’s Sangiovese: fresher and more open than Brunello, but still shaped by Montalcino’s calcareous marl, altitude and bright Tuscan acidity. It is a lovely way into Argiano’s style – elegant, food-friendly and full of Sangiovese character.
