Tasting Note
Bright ruby in the glass. The nose is lifted and aromatic, showing wild strawberry, raspberry and a gentle floral note. On the palate it’s light-bodied and fresh, with soft tannins and lively acidity giving it real energy. Juicy red fruit carries through to a clean, slightly savoury finish. Crunchy, elegant and dangerously easy to drink.

The Story
Frappato is one of Sicily’s most characterful native grapes, traditionally grown in the southeast of the island. Known for its perfume, freshness and lightness, it offers a very different take on Sicilian reds compared to the richer, more powerful styles. Azienda Cortese focuses on a clean, modern expression, preserving the grape’s natural vibrancy and aromatic charm. Often compared to lighter styles like Beaujolais, this is all about drinkability, energy and a more chilled, contemporary approach to red wine.
