Tasting Note
Brilliant rosé in the glass. The nose is fresh and expressive, with elegant wild strawberry and cherry. On the palate it feels smooth and harmonious, with crisp red-berry fruit, a gentle freshness and a clean, sapid finish. Delicate, fruity and very easy to drink.

The Story
Rosapasso is part of the Biscardo range from Mabis in Veneto and is built around Pinot Nero in a fresh, fruit-led style. The most useful story detail here is really the grape and style rather than a forced bit of winery history: Pinot Nero is more often associated with still reds or sparkling wines, but here it is turned into a delicate rosé with a little more structure and poise than a very simple pink. The vineyard references to Barbarano and the use of Guyot and spurred-cordon training point to a wine made with some care rather than just knocked out as a generic house rosé.
