A bright, characterful Rioja rosado with wild strawberry, redcurrant and a fresh, gently savoury finish.

Tasting Note
Pale pink in the glass. The nose opens with cherries and wild strawberries, while the palate brings redcurrant, pomegranate and a lightly herbal edge. There is plenty of juicy red fruit here, but also enough structure and soft spice to give the wine a bit more shape than a very simple rosé.

The Story
Don Sancho de Londoño is a family project that began in 2004, built around the idea of making wine from its own vineyards rather than buying fruit in. Those vineyards sit south of the Ebro in Rioja Alta, where altitude and the meeting of Atlantic and Mediterranean influences help give the wines both ripeness and freshness. That suits a rosado like this very well. It has the easy appeal you want from pink Rioja, but also a bit of proper Rioja character underneath.
