A bright, polished Godello with ripe white fruit, citrus freshness and a lovely leesy depth.

Tasting Note
Pale straw in the glass. The nose leans into ripe white fruit and citrus, with a clean, lifted feel. On the palate it is rounded and generous, with fresh acidity, good weight and a smooth, persistent finish. There is a little extra breadth here that gives it more shape than a simple crisp white.

The Story
Godello has become one of Spain’s most exciting white grapes, and Valdeorras is where it really shows why. Tucked into inland Galicia, the region has built a strong reputation for whites with both freshness and substance – wines that carry citrus and stone fruit, but also a certain stony depth and quiet seriousness. Gran Leiriña feels very much in that mould: a modern Galician white, but one with enough texture and weight to remind you that Godello can be every bit as interesting as the more famous grapes of the north-west.
