A light, spritzy Portuguese white with lemon-lime freshness, green apple crunch and a properly thirst-quenching finish.

Tasting Note
Pale lemon in the glass with a gentle natural spritz. The nose is bright and fresh, with lemon, lime, green apple and a little floral lift. On the palate it is light-bodied, crisp and refreshing, with lively acidity and a clean citrus-led finish. Loureiro brings aroma, Trajadura adds a little body, and Pedernã – also known as Arinto – gives the wine its extra snap of acidity. A classic, easy-going Vinho Verde made for chilling right down and drinking young.

The Story
Vinho Verde is one of Portugal’s great refreshment wines – light, bright, gently spritzy and built around freshness rather than weight. Broadbent’s version has become a familiar favourite because it captures exactly what this style does best: citrus, zip, low alcohol and the sort of uncomplicated charm that makes the bottle disappear very quickly.
