Generous Napa Chardonnay with an Italian sense of balance – ripe pear, lemon and pineapple wrapped in creamy texture and gently toasted oak.

Tasting Note
Bright golden straw in the glass, with inviting aromas of Meyer lemon and ripe pear alongside a subtle touch of vanilla. The palate is creamy and generous, bringing together apple, lemon, pineapple and tropical fruit with a rounded texture from full malolactic fermentation and oak ageing. There is plenty of Napa richness, but fresh acidity keeps the wine lively rather than heavy. Gentle vanilla and toasted notes sit comfortably behind the fruit rather than dominating it. Smooth and persistent on the finish, with ripe citrus, pineapple and soft oak lingering behind.

The Story
Ca’ Momi was created in Napa by Italian winemakers who brought with them the idea that wine belongs at the table rather than on a pedestal. Its name means 'House of Momi' and remembers Momi dea Bionda, the famously dedicated farmer who once lived at the family property in Veneto. For the 2023 Chardonnay, fruit is sourced from vineyards throughout Napa Valley, harvested by hand and whole-bunch pressed before a cool stainless-steel fermentation and full malolactic conversion. Ten months in a combination of French and American oak then brings the creamy texture and gentle vanilla character that frame its ripe citrus and tropical fruit.
