Pale lemon-yellow with a delicate spritz, opening with lemon and lime alongside crisp pear, green apple and ripe peach, followed by subtle white flowers and a hint of tropical fruit. Light and vibrant on the palate, with lively acidity balancing a softly rounded touch of sweetness, leading into a clean, refreshing finish.

The Story
Lago is produced by Calçada Wines at Quinta da Calçada, one of the historic estates of the Vinho Verde region. Its cellars were established in Amarante in 1917 by António do Lago Cerqueira, an innovative winemaker who introduced new vineyard techniques after studying in France. Today, the estate works with more than 50 hectares of sustainably certified vineyards, including plots planted across the granite and schist soils surrounding Amarante. Loureiro, Arinto, Azal and Trajadura are fermented in stainless steel without oak, preserving the bright fruit, lively acidity and gentle effervescence that make this such an easy and refreshing expression of Vinho Verde.
