Pale salmon pink with a delicate spritz, opening with fresh strawberry, redcurrant and red plum alongside a subtle floral lift. Light and bright on the palate, with vivid acidity bringing energy to the juicy red fruit, followed by a clean, crisp and wonderfully refreshing finish.

The Story
Mezena is produced by Calçada Wines, whose home at Quinta da Calçada in Amarante has been associated with winemaking since 1917. The estate works with more than 50 hectares of sustainably certified vineyards, remaining faithful to the traditional grapes of Vinho Verde and the naturally fresh character of the region. Here, the deeply coloured Vinhão grape is gently pressed to create a delicate rosé, before fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel preserves its bright berry fruit, floral fragrance and lively acidity. A subtle sparkle and naturally low alcohol make this an especially refreshing introduction to one of Portugal’s most distinctive wine regions.
