'One-Liner'
A bright, easy-going Sicilian red with juicy berry fruit, soft tannins and plenty of everyday appeal.
Tasting Note
Bright ruby in the glass. The nose leans into ripe red and dark berry fruit, with cherry and raspberry to the fore and a light savoury-herbal edge. On the palate it’s dry and supple, with smooth tannins, gentle structure and enough freshness to keep it very drinkable. Soft, honest and nicely balanced rather than heavy.

The Story
Cantine Paolini was founded in 1964 by Gaspare Baiata and other growers in western Sicily. The winery’s current trade information ties its organic Grillo and Nero D’Avola to a maritime climate and sea breezes that help keep the vineyards healthy, alongside an environmentally minded approach in the vineyard. This Nero D’Avola feels very much in that mould – a fresher, lighter take on Sicily’s best-known red grape, made for easy drinking rather than sheer weight.
