Tasting Note
Ripe plum and blackberry lead the way, joined by dark cherry, subtle oak spice and a gently savoury edge. The palate is rounded and fruit-forward, with supple tannins and enough freshness to keep everything lively, finishing smooth with lingering dark fruit and a soft touch of spice.

The Story
Cape Sands offers an approachable expression of the Western Cape, one of South Africa’s broadest and most varied wine-growing areas. Merlot has found a natural home in the Cape, where its early-ripening character lends itself to soft, fruit-led reds with rounded tannins and plenty of immediate charm. This is very much in that mould – generous, smooth and straightforward, with enough savoury depth to make it a versatile bottle at the table.
