'One-Liner'
A bright, quietly creamy Piedmont white – ripe orchard fruit, citrus and flowers with Arneis freshness and a beautifully rounded finish.

Tasting Note
Pale straw in the glass, with an elegant nose of white flowers, ripe peach and orchard fruit alongside fresh citrus. The palate is medium-bodied and beautifully balanced, with Chardonnay bringing softness and ripe fruit while Arneis adds freshness and a more delicate, lifted character. Two months on the lees gives a subtle creaminess and extra breadth through the middle without making the wine feel heavy. Gentle notes of lemon pith and stone fruit carry through towards the finish, underpinned by clean acidity. Fresh, rounded and harmonious, with a pleasing combination of fruit, floral character and gentle lees texture.

The Story
The name 150+1 tells you rather neatly how this wine came about. Casali del Barone brings together the work of the 150 members of the Vallebelbo cooperative with the experience of winemaker Daniele Ress, creating a range designed to show a more approachable side of Piedmont. Here Chardonnay provides the body and ripe fruit, while a small addition of Arneis, one of the region’s traditional white grapes, brings freshness and aromatic lift. After fermentation, the wine spends two months on its lees to build a little extra creaminess and texture. It is a modern take on Langhe Bianco, but one firmly rooted in the growers and grapes of the region.
