Delicate salmon pink in the glass, with fresh strawberry, raspberry and redcurrant joined by white flowers and a subtle mineral note. The palate is dry, smooth and generously fruited, with bright citrus acidity bringing lift and definition to its soft berry flavours. Lightly rounded in texture but crisp through the finish, this is an elegant, quietly savoury rosé with plenty of easy-going charm.

The Story
Château Haut-Rian was founded in 1988 by Michel and Isabelle Dietrich, who came from winegrowing families in Alsace and Champagne before settling among the rolling vineyards surrounding the medieval village of Rions. Their daughter Pauline took responsibility for the estate in 2019 and now works alongside her husband William, continuing the family’s particular fondness for fresh, precise whites and rosés. This Bordeaux Rosé is made entirely from Merlot, with the grapes pressed almost immediately and fermented at a cool temperature to preserve their delicate colour and bright summer-fruit character. The estate’s varied parcels and limestone-influenced soils bring freshness to the wine, while a longstanding commitment to biodiversity and sustainable farming reflects the family’s determination to protect the land for future generations.
