An Oregon take on Alsace – peach, apricot and citrus meet flowers, ginger and racy freshness in this wonderfully aromatic five-grape blend.

Tasting Note
Pale gold in the glass, with a beautifully aromatic nose of yellow apple, peach and apricot lifted by blossom and more exotic floral notes. The palate is bright and energetic, with ripe stone fruit joined by lemon oil, fresh citrus and a gentle twist of ginger spice. There is plenty of juicy fruit, but mouth-watering acidity keeps the wine dry, lively and wonderfully refreshing. A subtle mineral character adds definition beneath the fruit, while the five varieties bring layers of perfume and texture without making the wine feel heavy. Floral, racy and expressive on the finish, with peach, citrus and delicate spice lingering behind.

The Story
Winemaker Brianne Day founded Day Wines in 2012 with a focus on small-batch Oregon wines, minimal intervention and growers committed to thoughtful farming. Vin de Days Blanc is her distinctly Oregonian nod to the aromatic white blends of Alsace, bringing together five varieties from organically farmed vineyards across the Willamette Valley. Rather than fermenting each grape separately and blending afterwards, the varieties are added successively to the same stainless-steel tank and co-fermented with native yeasts, allowing each new parcel of fruit to feed the developing fermentation. The 2024 completed malolactic fermentation naturally, received only minimal sulphur and spent just a few months in stainless steel before bottling. The result is deliberately youthful and exuberant – a fragrant, fruit-filled white where peach, citrus, flowers and spice take centre stage.
