'One-Liner'
A deep and commanding Pommard with dark berry fruit, tobacco and earthy spice – concentrated and muscular, with firm tannins and a long, savoury finish.

Tasting Note
Deep ruby in colour, with ripe black cherry, cassis and fig joined by fresh tobacco, mocha and warming spice. The palate is full and concentrated, with generous dark fruit wrapped around firm, sinewy tannins, while an earthy, gently mineral character brings savoury depth. Powerful but well balanced, it finishes long and persistent with lingering blackberry, cocoa and spice.

The Story
Domaine de Courcel has remained within the same family since the 17th century and is closely associated with the powerful, long-lived red wines of Pommard. Les Vaumuriens is a 1.44-hectare village-classified vineyard positioned immediately above the celebrated Rugiens Premier Cru, with approximately 40-year-old vines rooted in shallow white soils on a cool, north-east-facing slope. The 2017 was fermented using whole bunches and matured with a restrained proportion of new oak, giving the wine considerable depth and structure while allowing its dark fruit, earthy character and distinctive spicy finish to remain firmly in view.
