'One-Liner'
Fresh Loire Sauvignon with a little extra roundness – passion fruit, citrus and acacia blossom with a bright, lemon-zest finish.

Tasting Note
Pale straw in the glass, with an expressive nose of passion fruit and ripe exotic fruit lifted by delicate acacia blossom. The palate is crisp and dry, with fresh citrus running through a gently rounded texture from ageing on the fine lees. Lemon and grapefruit bring plenty of energy, while the clay-limestone soils lend a subtle mineral freshness beneath the fruit. There is enough ripeness to make the wine generous without losing Sauvignon Blanc’s natural zip. Clean and lively on the finish, with citrus zest and floral notes lingering behind.

The Story
Domaine du Changeon is a young Loire estate based at Benais, one of the seven communes of Bourgueil, where David Ledoux farms twelve hectares of predominantly clay-limestone soils rich in the region’s distinctive tuffeau. 'Les Nomades' comes from young Sauvignon Blanc vines in the Neusaies parcel and shows a very different side of the domaine from its better-known Cabernet Franc reds. The wine is made completely dry and aged on its fine lees, giving a little extra roundness to the bright citrus and passion-fruit character. The name reflects the estate’s wider interest in the natural environment around the Changeon river, with the label highlighting species whose movements and habitats are being altered by environmental change.
