Domaine Paul Prieur et Fils, 'Grains de Pinot' Sancerre Rouge, 2020

Move over Burgundy! Famed for their white wines, but the reds are their true love. This Pinot Noir is a little meatier than you'd expect from the usual reds of Sancerre. All of the cliche notes of wet forest floor, game, and cherry fruit with gentle floral undertones. A soft tannic structure that is complimented by a lovely berry acidity that all leads into a complex and lengthy finish.
