A bright, expressive Godello with citrus, white fruit and a fresh mineral line.

Tasting Note
Pale straw in the glass. The nose is clean and lifted, with citrus and white fruit to the fore. On the palate it is fresh and fruit-led, with good balance, a touch of leesy breadth and a persistent, lively finish. Easy to enjoy, but with enough shape to feel properly put together.

The Story
Polvorete is Emilio Moro’s younger, more easy-going expression of Godello from Bierzo, and it does a very good job of showing why the grape has become one of Spain’s most exciting whites. Bierzo has the sort of landscape that suits Godello beautifully – Atlantic influence, inland warmth and enough altitude to keep freshness in the fruit. That combination gives the wine its charm: bright and open from the first sip, but with the sort of texture and mineral edge that stop it feeling simple.
