A textured Tuscan white with citrus, stone fruit and a lovely saline, savoury edge.

Tasting Note
Pale straw in the glass. The nose shows ripe citrus, white peach and pear, with a lightly floral lift. On the palate it is fuller and more textured than a simple crisp white, balancing Vermentino’s freshness and salinity with the broader, more aromatic shape of Viognier. Smooth, generous and quietly distinctive.

The Story
Fabbrica sits just outside Pienza in southern Tuscany, in a landscape better known for cypress-lined roads, pecorino and postcard views than for white wine. That is part of what makes Newton so interesting. Vermentino brings the cut, salt and freshness; Viognier brings fragrance and flesh. On paper they look like opposites, but in the glass they meet somewhere very nicely in the middle – a white with sunshine, texture and just enough coastal-like snap to keep you coming back for another sip.
