Tasting Note
Pale gold with subtle green reflections and a fine, lasting mousse, opening with lemon zest, ripe apple and white peach alongside delicate flowers, toasted almond and warm brioche. The palate is rounded and quietly creamy, with fresh citrus acidity and a pronounced mineral edge bringing precision to the generous orchard fruit. A gentle touch of spice develops towards the finish, which remains long, dry and wonderfully refreshing.

The Story
Ferghettina was founded in 1991 by Roberto and Andreina Gatti, beginning with just four hectares before growing into one of Franciacorta’s most recognised family estates, now joined by their children Laura and Matteo. Milledì is assembled from Chardonnay grown across twelve vineyards in eight different Franciacorta villages, allowing each site to contribute a slightly different layer of fruit, freshness and mineral character. Only the gently extracted first juice is used, with each parcel fermented separately before the final blend undergoes its second fermentation in bottle and rests on the lees for 36 months. The estate’s distinctive square bottle was developed to encourage greater contact between the wine and its lees, helping to build the creamy texture and subtle pastry-like complexity that sit beneath its vivid citrus fruit.
