Finch’s Line, 5th Mile Shiraz, 2009

60 year old, dry land vines were hand-harvested and the small berries fermented using indigenous yeasts. Basket-pressed and aged in French barrels for 15 months. No fining or filtration prior to bottling. Blackberry and plum aromas combine with earth and spice. Full-bodied with a layered palate and a long finish. Finch's Line represents a classic expression of Hunter Valley Shiraz and will continue to improve.
