Tasting Note
Bright straw gold with a lively stream of fine bubbles, opening with green apple, lemon zest and fresh white flowers, followed by touches of pear, acacia and gentle brioche. The palate is crisp and beautifully balanced, with juicy orchard fruit and citrus softened by time on the lees, while a delicate creaminess gives way to a clean, lightly saline finish.

The Story
Freccianera is the historic Franciacorta range of Azienda Agricola Fratelli Berlucchi, a family estate founded in Borgonato di Corte Franca in 1927 and later among the founding members of the Franciacorta Consortium. Brut25 is made entirely from Chardonnay grown in the family’s vineyards around Borgonato, Torbiato di Adro and Provaglio d’Iseo, where glacially formed, sandy limestone soils and the moderating influence of Lake Iseo help preserve freshness. The grapes are picked by hand and gently pressed as whole bunches before fermentation in stainless steel, followed by extended contact with the fine lees and a minimum of 18 months ageing in bottle. Its name refers to the 25 months that carry the wine from harvest to glass – a patient journey that brings polish and texture without losing Chardonnay’s bright, energetic character.
