A juicy, dark-fruited Saperavi with black cherry, cassis and a bright, gently spicy finish.

Tasting Note
Deep ruby in the glass. The nose leans into blackberry, black cherry and cassis, with a touch of spice and an earthy edge behind the fruit. On the palate it is plush but lively, with dark berry fruit, supple tannins and enough freshness to keep it from feeling heavy. There is good depth here, but the overall feel stays open and easy to enjoy.

The Story
Saperavi comes from Georgia, where it has long been valued for its deep colour, naturally high acidity and ability to make reds with both richness and energy. Seeing it turn up in the Limestone Coast is part of the fun. In the right Australian hands, it keeps that dark, vivid fruit and freshness, but takes on a softer, more immediately approachable shape. That makes Fox Tales a wine with a bit of personality and novelty, while still being very easy to pour and enjoy.
