Tasting Note
Bright ruby in the glass. The nose opens with ripe cherry, red flowers and a touch of spice. On the palate it feels fresh and lively, with juicy red fruit, fine tannins and a little black-pepper lift through the finish. Silky, expressive and very easy to enjoy.

The Story
Fritz Waßmer is based in Baden, in one of Germany’s warmest wine regions, where Spätburgunder can reach a lovely balance of ripeness and freshness. The estate is known for taking Pinot seriously, and even at entry level the style aims for purity, spice and elegance rather than heaviness. This 2023 sits neatly in that mould – fruit-led and approachable, but with enough finesse to feel properly put together.
