Tasting Note
Pale gold in the glass. The nose is refined and layered, showing lemon, nectarine and a touch of toasted hazelnut. On the palate it’s fresh yet textured, with bright acidity balanced by a subtle creaminess. A light touch of oak adds depth and spice without overpowering the fruit. The finish is long, mineral and precise. Complex, composed and quietly powerful.

Greystone is a standout producer in Waipara Valley, North Canterbury - a region known for its limestone soils and cool climate, both ideal for Chardonnay. The wines here are shaped by a strong focus on vineyard expression and minimal intervention. Fermentation with wild yeasts and careful oak use help build texture and complexity, while retaining freshness and precision. This is New Zealand Chardonnay with a Burgundian mindset - structured, site-driven and built with intent.
