'One-Liner'
A smooth, generous Carmenère with dark fruit, soft spice and a gently savoury finish.
Tasting Note
Deep ruby with violet hints. The nose is expressive, showing blackcurrant, plum and a touch of green pepper and spice. On the palate it’s medium to full-bodied, with soft tannins and a rounded, fruit-driven core. There’s a subtle herbal note adding character, balanced by a smooth, warming finish. Approachable, distinctive and easy to enjoy.

The Story
In Situ is the estate range from Viña San Esteban, a producer based in Chile’s Aconcagua Valley. Current trade and press references place this Reserva Carmenère firmly in that valley, and recent coverage highlights the wine as being made from sustainably farmed fruit and styled on the fresher, darker-fruited side of Carmenère rather than the greener, more herbal end of the grape. In practice, that gives you a red that feels generous and approachable, but still with a little savoury Chilean character in the background.
