'One-Liner'
A fresh, quietly polished Mâcon white with peach, apricot and a lovely flinty lift.

Tasting Note
Pale gold in the glass. The nose is delicate and fresh, with flint, menthol, peach and apricot. On the palate it has more shape than a very simple Mâcon, with ripe orchard fruit, a little leesy breadth and a fine line of freshness that keeps everything lifted. Clean, elegant and very easy to enjoy.

The Story
Milly-Lamartine sits on the western slopes of the Mâconnais, at the edge of the long limestone ridges that run down through this part of Burgundy. It is a higher, cooler-feeling corner of the appellation, and that comes through in the wine – plenty of ripe fruit, but also that flinty freshness and lightness of touch that stop it becoming heavy. It is exactly the sort of white Burgundy that reminds you why the Mâconnais can be such a sweet spot: proper Chardonnay character, but without the fuss.
