'One-Liner'
A rich, dark-fruited Vintage Port with real depth, fine structure and a long, polished finish.

Tasting Note
Deep, almost opaque ruby in the glass. The nose is generous and aromatic, showing stewed prune, cherry, violet and sweet plum. On the palate it is opulent and full-bodied, with ripe dark fruit at the core, a soft but serious structure and excellent length. There’s plenty of immediate appeal here, but still enough substance to feel like proper Vintage Port.

The Story
Wiese & Krohn declared 2009 as a classic vintage, noting that although yields were low, the quality was high. The house itself dates back to 1865 and is one of the long-established names in Port, with a particular reputation for traditional styles. This 2009 sits firmly in that mould – a single-vintage Port with the richness and concentration you want from the category, but with enough elegance to keep it composed.
