A richly fruited Australian sparkling red with blackberry, raspberry and a creamy, gently spiced finish.

Tasting Note
Deep ruby with a lively mousse. The nose shows rich chocolate, raspberry and dark berry fruit, with a fragrant yeasty complexity in the background. On the palate it is medium-bodied but full of flavour, with zesty berry fruit, a creamy texture and fresh, balancing acidity. Serve it well chilled and it really comes alive.

The Story
Syn Rouge is Leconfield’s sparkling Shiraz from Coonawarra. Trade and winery notes explain that the original sparkling range was once called Synergy, reflecting fruit from both Coonawarra and McLaren Vale, but that the wine is now sourced solely from Coonawarra to capture the cooler-climate elegance needed for the style. Fresh premium Shiraz is made in a fine style, matured in oak, then given secondary fermentation for natural sparkle, with a small addition of vintage fortified wine in the liqueur to add extra complexity.
