'One-Liner'
A richer, lees-aged Albariño with ripe orchard fruit, citrus lift and a gently creamy, brioche-edged finish.
Tasting Note
Bright straw-yellow in the glass. The nose leans into ripe pear, apple and white peach, with subtle notes of bread, cream and bakery spice from time on lees. On the palate it feels broader and silkier than a simple young Albariño, with ripe fruit, a little lactic creaminess and a long, refined finish held together by fresh acidity. It’s generous, but still very much Albariño at heart.

The Story
Lías is Martín Códax’s more textural, lees-aged expression of Albariño from Rías Baixas. Hand-harvested fruit fermented in stainless steel, followed by ageing on fine lees for around five to six months, with additional resting to build more texture and complexity. That extra time on lees gives the wine a broader, creamier feel than a straightforward young Albariño, while still keeping the freshness and coastal brightness the region is known for.
