Tasting Note
Light pink in the glass with a fine, soft mousse. The nose is bright and inviting, with strawberry, summer berries and a gentle touch of toasted brioche. On the palate it is creamy but fresh, bringing red berry fruit together with bruised apple, lemon zest and a little toasted biscuit. The bubbles feel fine and well handled, giving the wine lift without making it feel sharp or austere. A graceful English sparkling rosé with freshness, texture and a long, crisp finish.

The Story
Mountfield Winery is based near Robertsbridge in East Sussex, with a small 3.5 hectare vineyard and an on-site winery. That estate-grown, small-scale setup gives the wines a properly personal feel – very much a boutique English sparkling producer rather than something made at arm’s length.
The Rosé Reserve is a traditional-method sparkling wine made from Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, the two red grapes most closely associated with classic sparkling production. Here they bring delicate colour, soft red berry fruit and a creamy, rounded feel, while the English climate keeps the finish bright and crisp.
