A luscious yet beautifully lively Austrian dessert wine, filled with tropical fruit, lychee and candied citrus – richly sweet, but sharpened by wonderfully crisp acidity.

Tasting Note
Golden in colour, with generous aromas of passion fruit, pineapple and lychee joined by ripe peach, candied citrus and a gentle honeyed note. The palate is intensely sweet and richly fruited, yet kept wonderfully bright by mouth-watering acidity, with yellow tropical fruit and citrus peel carrying through to a long, clean and beautifully balanced finish.

The Story
Münzenrieder is based in Apetlon, at the heart of the Neusiedlersee-Seewinkel, where Lake Neusiedl and the surrounding shallow wetlands create the warm, humid autumn conditions that encourage noble rot and make the area particularly suited to fine sweet wines. This Beerenauslese brings together aromatic Sämling and fresh, citrus-led Welschriesling from the Ried Neubruch vineyard, planted on a mixture of crushed stone and rich black earth. The carefully concentrated fruit is fermented at a cool temperature in stainless steel and spends ten months in tank before bottling, preserving its vivid tropical character while allowing sweetness and acidity to settle into graceful balance.
