'One-Liner'
A finely judged Pfalz Pinot Noir with red berry fruit, gentle spice and a fresh, savoury finish.
Tasting Note
Bright ruby in the glass. The nose shows redcurrant, raspberry and cherry, with a little savoury spice and a darker chocolatey edge underneath. On the palate it is juicy and well balanced, with fine-grained tannins, integrated acidity and plenty of drinkability. Elegant rather than heavy, and nicely put together.

The Story
Pinot Noir can be a lovely fit in the Pfalz. The region has enough warmth to ripen the grape properly, but the better examples still keep that freshness and fine-boned shape that make Pinot worth chasing in the first place. This wine sits nicely in that space – more about balance and drinkability than weight, with the sort of red-fruited, lightly savoury character that makes Pinot such a useful bottle at the table.
