Tasting Note
Deep ruby in the glass. The nose leans into blueberry, cherry and a little oak spice. On the palate it feels smooth and medium-bodied, with ripe dark fruit, a gentle savoury edge and soft tannins that keep it easy to drink. There’s enough warmth and structure to make it feel proper, but it stays supple and food-friendly.

The Story
Biferno is one of Molise’s classic red appellations, and this wine leans into that central-southern Italian style very nicely – generous fruit, a bit of warmth and a grounded, savoury feel. Trade sources describe traditional vinification with around 10–12 days of maceration, followed by ageing in large oak barrels and then time in tank, which helps explain the wine’s rounded texture and gentle spice rather than anything flashy or heavily oaked. It’s the sort of red that feels most at home with simple, hearty food.
