A gloriously concentrated Tokaji Aszú, brimming with dried apricot, orange marmalade and honey – luxuriously sweet, yet kept vivid and beautifully poised by fresh acidity.

Tasting Note
Deep gold in the glass, with generous aromas of dried apricot, nectarine and baked apple layered with honeycomb, candied orange peel and toasted almond. The palate is rich, silky and intensely sweet, unfolding with peach compote, citrus marmalade and gentle vanilla spice, while a bright seam of acidity keeps the wine fresh and wonderfully balanced. Long and evolving through the finish, with lingering honey, dried fruit, orange peel and a subtle savoury note from its time in Hungarian oak.

The Story
Péter Pince is a small, family-run estate led by winemaker Ákos Péter, farming five hectares across a collection of prized vineyards between Tokaj and Tarcal. The volcanic soils and long, misty autumns of Tokaj provide the conditions needed for noble rot, concentrating the grapes while preserving the remarkable freshness that defines the region’s finest sweet wines. This 6 Puttonyos Aszú brings together three traditional varieties – Furmint for its piercing acidity, Hárslevelű for fragrance and Kabar for richness – before spending two years in Hungarian oak. With around 180 grams per litre of residual sugar, it is profoundly sweet and concentrated, but never heavy, its honeyed richness carried by citrus freshness and a fine mineral backbone.
