'One-Liner'
A classically styled Vintage Port with dark fruit, floral lift and the structure to age beautifully.
Tasting Note
Deep ruby in the glass. The nose is intense and expressive, with mature dark fruit and a floral edge that keeps it feeling fresh rather than heavy. On the palate it has very good concentration and structure, with a rich, layered core of fruit and a long, composed finish. Serious enough for the cellar, but already showing plenty of character.

The Story
Portal’s 2016 sits within one of the most widely praised modern Port vintages. Decanter’s vintage guide describes 2016 as a year with wonderful up-front fruit, with the best wines combining early appeal and real underlying structure for ageing. Portal’s own 2016 is presented in that mould – rich, floral, concentrated and built in a classic style that nods to older generations of Vintage Port.
