A bright, fruit-led Reserve Ruby Port with red berries, gentle spice and a long, softly warming finish.

Tasting Note
Deep ruby in the glass. The nose leans into red cherry and berry fruit, with a little spice and cocoa in the background. On the palate it is full and smooth, with plenty of fruit at the core, a touch of richness and a finish that stays lively rather than turning heavy. Generous, polished and very easy to enjoy after dinner.

The Story
Quinta de la Rosa is unusual in Port for being both a historic quinta and an active grower with a strong estate identity. Trade material for this Ruby Reserve says it is made from A-grade grapes grown at Quinta de la Rosa, rather than bought-in lower-grade fruit, and is aged for around three years before blending. That helps explain the style nicely – still youthful and fruit-driven, but with a little more depth and polish than a very basic Ruby.
