Tasting Note
Pale straw. Aromas of fresh pear, white peach and citrus with a light floral lift and a hint of that signature Awatere minerality. The palate is elegant and textural – ripe pear, nectarine and a touch of mandarin peel – carried by refreshing acidity to a smooth, lingering finish. Serve well chilled.

The Story
River Farm works vineyards on the terraces along the Awatere River, where wind-blown loess over alluvial gravels gives excellent drainage and preserves freshness. The 2022 Pinot Gris was fermented cool in stainless steel with ~10% in seasoned French oak for extra texture, then held briefly on light lees – a crisp, stone-fruit style with a gentle, silky feel.
