Tasting Note
Pale straw. Aromas of fresh pear, white peach and citrus with a light floral lift and a hint of that signature Awatere minerality. The palate is elegant and textural – ripe pear, nectarine and a touch of mandarin peel – carried by refreshing acidity to a smooth, lingering finish. Serve well chilled.

The Story
River Farm comes from Marlborough’s Awatere Valley, one of the region’s cooler, more distinctive sub-regions. The valley benefits from cool nights, a long growing season and maritime winds, conditions that help preserve acidity while building aromatic intensity in grapes such as Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir.
The vineyard is run by brothers James and Andrew Jones, the fourth generation of the Jones family on the land. The Awatere River runs through the story of the estate, helping shape the alluvial soils that give the wines their fresh, mineral character.
