'One-Liner'
A serious Mosel Riesling with ripe stone fruit, smoky slate and a long, finely structured finish.

Tasting Note
Pale gold in the glass. The nose leans into ripe stone fruit and citrus, with a lightly smoky, stony edge that feels very much of the Mosel. On the palate it is dry, firm and composed, with good density, ripe acidity and a long, mineral finish. There is plenty of fruit here, but it is the structure and slatey tension that really carry the wine.

The Story
For this wine, the richest story is really the vineyard. Bernkasteler Lay is one of the key sites in the Prüm holdings, sitting above the Mosel in steep, slate-rich slopes around Bernkastel. That slate matters. It stores heat, helps the grapes ripen in a cool region, and gives Riesling from here that unmistakable smoky, stony edge that makes the best Mosel wines so compelling. In a GG like this, you see the drier, more structured side of the region – less about sweetness and immediacy, more about line, detail and the way the vineyard speaks through the glass.
