Bright straw yellow in the glass, with ripe pear, peach and citrus joined by pineapple and a subtle floral lift. The palate is noticeably broader and more rounded than many northern Italian Pinot Grigios, reflecting the warmth of the Sicilian vineyards, with juicy tropical fruit balanced by fresh acidity and a soft, supple texture. Clean and refreshing through the finish, with lingering citrus, stone fruit and a gentle savoury note.

The Story
Miopasso is part of The Wine People’s collection of southern Italian wines, created to marry recognisable regional character with a fresh, contemporary style. The Pinot Grigio comes from vineyards around Trapani in western Sicily, where the warmer Mediterranean climate gives the grape considerably more ripeness and weight than is often found further north. The fruit is harvested by hand before gentle pressing and cool fermentation in stainless steel, preserving its bright citrus and tropical character while allowing the naturally fuller texture of Sicilian Pinot Grigio to shine through.
