Tasting Note
Pale straw in the glass. The nose is delicate and precise, with lemon peel, grapefruit and ripe apricot. On the palate it is dry, focused and structured, with good depth, bright acidity and a stony, savoury finish that keeps it feeling taut and serious. Fresh, crystalline and quietly complex.

The Story
Hallgartener Würzgarten sits high in the Rheingau, where the vineyards catch the sun but still keep a cool edge from the surrounding landscape. That matters with Riesling. It gives the wine ripeness, but also the sort of tension and mineral line that stop it becoming broad or soft. Hargardun sits above the estate range and is made with more time, more extraction and more élevage, which gives it that extra layer of depth without losing the clarity that makes good Rheingau Riesling so compelling.
